i800 Pre-Approval Today!!!

I called USCIS just to see if our paperwork was in our officer's hands, and surprisingly I was told that our paperwork was pre-approved today!  The paperwork was in their hands on Jan. 17, so approval actually occurred in 9 days.  What this means is that the United States Citizens and Immigration Services has approved for us to adopt Chloe, specifically.  We're one more step closer to bringing her home.

Next, our paperwork will be forwarded to the National Visa Center to be processed and then cabled to the US Embassy in China....What a great Wednesday!

Lazy Sundays

Sundays are usually the time when we are all actually together at home.  Tim does not have basketball and, other than an occasional confirmation class, there is absolutely no reason for us to leave the house.  Although I had work to do for my graduate class, today was one of those stay at home days.  Sweats and fuzzy socks are soooo nice.

I would also be remiss not to mention that this was a birthday weekend.  On Saturday Tim celebrated his 46th and on Sunday my brother-in-law celebrated his 41st.  Happy birthday!

Meet Chloe...

Below are some of her beautiful pictures.  We fell in love at first sight.

She has been under the care of Love Without Boundaries, a fabulous non-profit started by adoptive parents, that funds and sets up foster care, educational programs, medical care, and nutritional programs for Chinese orphans.  She is currently in foster care and attends one of their Believe in Me schools.  To learn more about the organization, click on the following link,  www.lovewithoutboundaries.com.

Welcome!

Please join us as we head into the deep waters of our adoption journey for beautiful Chloe Grace.  She is five years old and is waiting for us in Huainan, Anhui, China.  I have made a silent promise to her to chronicle our journey and hers as I did when we adopted Kaleb from Ethiopia.  I've titled the blog "Love, Laughter, and Lunacy" because that truly sums up our crazy, wonderful family.
